REPORT PAGE FOR: Karen Panek, Hamilton New Zealand Report: 26 November 2003 More reports: 10 March 2003 - 29 June 2003 - 24 August 2003 Over the past weekend I finally potted up the Sinningia Star Eyes seedlings, into their own separate pots. I found that there was only 5 small tubers, so germination wasn't that good really, even tho the seedling container appeared to be quite full of little blooming plants. Still, that is enough, they are doing well and now coming into bloom again - I put 3 into 1 pot to grow on for myself and the other 2 will be for sharing. I have wicked the plants and placed them under lights. I am not using a terrarium as I want to see how the colour of bloom is with the extra fertilizer they will now receive from the reservoirs. And I have noticed already that they are darker in the top petals and the tube appears to have purple and white striping. I am using my usual 1-1-1 soilless mix (recipe in the Soilmix Folder) with Acrylic 4 ply baby yarn for the wicks. Karen Pictures None this time |
